Send students the exact part to practise — at the right speed

Quick answer

Paste a YouTube lesson into RepeatWatch, mark the part students should practise with A and B, and set the speed. Copy the share link: it opens at that section, at that speed, and loops until the student stops it. Students need no account. Send one link per section, or a loop playlist.

What do you teach?

Ask yourself: when you send a YouTube link as homework, which part do students practise, and at what speed?

Make a practice link in three steps

  1. Paste the lesson video into RepeatWatch.
  2. Mark sections: drag A and B, or paste the timestamps from the description into Import timestamps.
  3. Set the speed and copy the share link. That link is the homework.

Open an example loop a Pianote beginner lesson, 8 seconds at 70%.

The Loop Ladder

Give students the Loop Ladder with every link, so they practise slowly before fast:

  1. Tiny section. One bar, one eight-count or one sentence per link.
  2. Slow start. 70–80% speed, set in the link.
  3. Climb only after clean repeats. Three clean loops, then the speed trainer adds 5%.

Build a practice pack today, free

A practice pack is a short list of links, one per section, each opening at the right speed. You can build one now with the free share links and loop playlists. No students sign up for anything.

  1. Paste the lesson video into RepeatWatch and save each part you want practised as a section (or import the chapter timestamps).
  2. For each section, set the speed and copy the share link. The link keeps the section and the speed.
  3. For a whole lesson in order, add the sections to a loop playlist and copy the playlist link. It plays each section in turn; students set the speed on their side.
  4. Paste the links into your lesson notes with one line each: what to loop, how many clean repeats, when to speed up.

Example pack: a Pianote beginner lesson in three sections

What Studio adds

The links above are free for good. Studio is an optional paid plan for teachers who send packs every week: named packs in folders, your studio name on every pack, and practice reports students choose to send. We are building it with the first studios.

Frequently asked questions

Do students need an account?

No. Students click the link and it opens at the section, at the speed you set, and loops. Nothing to install and no sign-up.

Can I send a link to a student under 13?

Send it to the parent. RepeatWatch has no student accounts and asks students for nothing; the link just opens the official YouTube player at your section.

Does the link set how many times it repeats?

No. A link sets the section and the speed, and loops until the student stops. Write the number of clean repeats you want in your note, or ask them to use Stop after.

Is it free for teachers?

Yes. Share links, sections, timestamp import and loop playlists are free. Studio, a paid plan for organising and branding packs, is optional.
