What do these weather and seasons videos cover?
The songs teach weather words like sunny, rainy, windy and snowy, and the order of the four seasons. The SciShow Kids, Homeschool Pop and Dr. Binocs videos introduce why it rains, how clouds and snowflakes form, and why leaves change color in fall.
How can I use them for a daily weather check?
Look outside together, then play "How's The Weather?" or The Singing Walrus' "Sun, Rain, Wind, and Snow" with Repeat one. For a longer explainer, drag A and B around one part, such as how snowflakes form, to replay just that.
Frequently asked questions
Are any of these weather videos scary for young children?
We left out videos about severe storms, floods and natural disasters. The SciShow Kids thunder and blizzard episodes stay calm and simple, but preview them first if your child is nervous about storms.
Can I slow down the science explanations?
Yes. Set the speed to 0.75× in the Practice tab so the narration is easier to follow. The pitch stays the same, so the voices still sound natural.
