What should every owner understand about business finance?
Know your margins, your break-even point and your cash flow, which is when money actually arrives and leaves. Keep business and personal money separate, budget before you spend, and understand the cost of any loan or investment, including the interest or the share of the business you give away.
How can RepeatWatch help me learn the numbers?
Drag an A–B loop around one worked example, such as markup vs margin or a break-even sum, and repeat it while you try the numbers on paper. Use 0.75× for the SBA and SCORE webinars when taking notes, and save sections on keys 1–9 to jump back later.
Frequently asked questions
Should I borrow money or raise investment?
It depends on the business. Many small businesses start with savings, revenue, family support or a small loan, and never take investors. Venture capital suits a few fast-growing companies. The Y Combinator and SCORE videos explain the trade-offs on both sides.
Do these loan programmes exist where I live?
SBA and SCORE programmes are American. Most countries have their own development banks, microfinance lenders or government loan schemes, with different rules and rates. Check what your local banks and small business agencies offer.
Is this legal, tax or financial advice?
No. These videos are educational and come from the channels that published them. They are not legal, tax or financial advice for your situation. Talk to an accountant or financial adviser before borrowing, giving away shares or signing a loan agreement.
