How do feelings songs help young children?
Songs give children words for what they feel, such as frustrated, nervous or proud, and simple things to try, like taking a deep breath or asking for help. Hearing the same song again makes those words easier to remember in the moment.
How can I use RepeatWatch for a calm-down routine?
Open "Belly Breathe" or another calming song and choose Repeat one. Set Stop after to two or three loops so it ends on its own. Drag A and B around the breathing part to repeat just that section.
Frequently asked questions
Can these videos replace help with big emotional difficulties?
No. They introduce feelings words and simple coping ideas for everyday moments. If you are worried about a child's emotions or behavior, talk with their teacher, pediatrician or another professional.
What ages are these feelings videos for?
Most are made for preschool and kindergarten (ages 3–6). The SciShow Kids episodes on why we get mad, feel scared or cry also work well for children in first and second grade.
