How should I review an IELTS listening test?
Do the test once without pausing, just like exam day. Then check your answers, find each question you missed and loop that short section with A–B until you can hear the answer, spelling and number clearly.
Should I slow down IELTS listening audio?
Only while reviewing. Slowing a tricky section to 0.75x helps you notice linked words, plurals and numbers. Always finish by listening at normal speed again, because the real test is played once at natural pace.
Frequently asked questions
Are these official IELTS tests?
The tutorials come from the IELTS Official channel. The practice tests and tips come from established IELTS teachers, including E2 IELTS, IELTS Liz and IELTS Advantage, and are not official exam papers.
Can shadowing help with IELTS listening?
Many learners find that loop-and-repeat shadowing of short sentences trains the ear to catch fast, connected speech. Loop one sentence, say it along with the speaker, then move on to the next.
