How do A–B loops help with pronunciation?
Pronunciation improves through many short repetitions. Loop a single word or phrase so you hear it over and over without touching the controls, and say it with the teacher each time until your version matches.
Why slow down a pronunciation video?
At 0.5x or 0.75x you can see lip and tongue positions and hear each sound in a linked phrase. Practise slowly first, then raise the speed step by step until you can say it at normal pace.
Frequently asked questions
Should I learn British or American pronunciation?
Either is fine; pick the accent you hear most and stay consistent. English with Lucy and BBC Learning English teach British English, while Rachel's English focuses on American English.
Can I see my mouth while I practise?
RepeatWatch does not use your camera, but you can practise in front of a mirror while a sound loops. Mirror mode flips the video, which some learners find easier to copy.
