The power of believing that you can improve | Carol Dweck | TEDTEDPlay from here Loop
What is a growth mindset?
A growth mindset is the idea that abilities can grow with effort, good strategies and help from others. For kids in grades 3–5 (ages 8–11) it often sounds like adding "yet": I can't do long division yet. Mistakes become information, not proof that you are bad at something.
How can RepeatWatch help with a hard skill?
Practice is where a growth mindset shows. Use an A–B loop to replay one tricky step of a lesson, slow it to 0.75× to follow along, and save each part to keys 1–9. Mister Rogers' "You've Got To Do It" makes a good Repeat one anthem.
Frequently asked questions
Which videos are for parents?
The last three are for grown-ups: Big Life Journal's tips on helping kids cope with failure and teach a growth mindset, and Carol Dweck's TED talk on believing you can improve. Everything before them is made for children.
Should the ClassDojo videos be watched in order?
Yes. The five Growth Mindset episodes build on each other, so press Play all and watch them in order, perhaps one a day, then talk about each one. The Perseverance series later in the list comes from the same ClassDojo collection.
