What is an index fund?
An index fund is a mutual fund or ETF that simply holds the investments in a market index, such as a broad stock market index, instead of trying to pick winners. That gives you wide diversification in one product, usually with low fees. It still rises and falls with the market it tracks.
How do I use RepeatWatch to learn from these videos?

Frequently asked questions
Are index funds safe?
They are diversified, but not safe in the sense of guaranteed. A stock index fund can fall a lot in a bad year and take years to recover. That is why educators pair them with a long time horizon, an emergency fund, and often bonds for money needed sooner.
Which index fund should I buy?
This playlist does not recommend specific funds. Look at what the fund tracks, how broad it is, its yearly fee (expense ratio) and which accounts you can hold it in. Products, taxes and providers differ by country, so compare options available and regulated where you live.
Is this financial advice?
No. These videos are educational and come from the channels that published them. They are not financial, tax or legal advice for your situation, and past returns do not guarantee future ones. For personal decisions, consider a qualified, regulated financial adviser.
