What is the difference between leadership and management?
Management is organising the work: planning, hiring, setting goals and checking results. Leadership is getting people to care about that work: setting direction, building trust and helping them grow. Small business owners need both, often from the day they hire their first employee.
How do I learn leadership with RepeatWatch?
Watch one talk a day with Play all on repeat, or use Repeat one on a talk you want to absorb. A–B loop a feedback script or a hiring tip and practise it. Speed long Stanford interviews to 1.25× and save their best moments on keys 1–9.
Frequently asked questions
I am about to hire my first employee. What should I watch?
Start with the HBR videos on great leaders and psychological safety, then Stanford GSB's "How to Conduct Interviews" and the QuickBooks videos on building a team and keeping staff. Employment law differs by country, so check local rules on contracts, pay and dismissal.
Are these lessons only for big companies?
No. Many examples come from large companies, but the ideas, such as clear goals, honest feedback, fair treatment and respect, work in a team of two as well as two thousand. Pick what fits your business and ignore the rest.
Is this legal, tax or financial advice?
No. These videos are educational and come from the channels that published them. They are not legal, tax or financial advice for your situation. Get local employment law advice before hiring, disciplining or dismissing staff.
