How does a property management business make money?
Managers usually charge owners a monthly percentage of the rent collected, plus fees for finding tenants, renewing leases or handling maintenance. In return they market units, screen tenants, collect rent, arrange repairs and handle problems. Landlords who self-manage save these fees but do the work themselves.
What should I learn first?
Start with tenant screening, leases, deposits and keeping clean records. Learn fair, consistent processes for repairs, rent increases and disputes. Landlord and tenant law, licensing for managers and eviction rules differ a lot by country and city, so check local regulations before you rent anything out.
Frequently asked questions
How can RepeatWatch help me learn this?
Loop the checklist or screening section of a video with an A–B loop and pause to write your own version. Slow it to 0.75× for notes, save key parts of long podcasts to keys 1–9, or speed reviews up to 1.5×.
Is this legal advice?
No. These videos are educational and mostly describe US rules. Tenancy, fair housing and eviction laws vary by country, state and city, so get advice from a qualified local lawyer or housing authority before acting.
