How does real estate investing make money?
Investors can earn rent above their costs, gain if a property rises in value, and pay down a loan over time. Others own property indirectly through REITs. Each return comes with costs and risks: vacancies, repairs, interest rate changes, falling prices and the danger of borrowing too much.
What should a beginner learn first?
Learn how mortgages work, how to estimate every expense, and how to calculate cash flow and return before looking at deals. Study the risks as carefully as the strategies. Property, tax and tenancy laws differ by country, so check local rules and get independent advice.
Frequently asked questions
How can RepeatWatch help me learn the numbers?
Set an A–B loop around one worked example, such as a mortgage payment or cash-on-cash return, and replay it while you do the sum yourself. Slow it to 0.75× for notes, or speed up a long podcast to 1.5×.
Is this financial advice?
No. These videos are educational, not legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing here promises a return. Property can lose value and loans must be repaid either way. Speak to a qualified, independent adviser before you invest.
