What is agribusiness?
Agribusiness is any business along the food chain: growing crops or raising animals, selling inputs like seed and feed, processing and packaging food, transport, storage and trading. Many agripreneurs earn more by adding value, such as turning fruit into dried snacks or cassava peels into animal feed, than by selling raw produce.
How do I use RepeatWatch to learn agribusiness?
Play all on repeat works as a course. Slow a lesson to 0.75× when copying a record-keeping layout, or speed a talk to 1.5× on review. A–B loop one worked example, such as how a farmer group sells together, and save the business segments of long Shamba Shape Up episodes on keys 1–9.
Frequently asked questions
Where should a new agripreneur start?
Start with a clear buyer and a small, tested product, then keep records from day one. The Shamba Shape Up record-keeping and market episodes and Penn State's introduction to marketing are good first lessons before the stories of feed, milk and fruit businesses.
Do loans, grants and rules differ by country?
Yes. Farm loans, insurance, export rules, food licences and taxes vary by country. The Farm Service Agency microloans video describes a US programme only, so look for your own ministry of agriculture, development bank or farmer cooperative schemes.
Is this legal, tax or financial advice?
No. These videos are educational and come from the channels that published them. They are not legal, tax or financial advice for your business. Use them to learn, then talk to a local extension officer, accountant or business adviser before you borrow or invest.
