How does a beekeeping business make money?
Beekeepers mainly sell honey, and many also sell beeswax, wax products, bee colonies or queens. Some earn from pollination services for fruit farmers. Hives can be low-cost, especially locally made top-bar hives, but income depends on flowers nearby, healthy colonies and good honey handling.
How do I use RepeatWatch to learn beekeeping?
Play all on repeat works as the full course in order. Slow a demonstration to 0.75× to see how a frame is lifted or a queen is found, and A–B loop the varroa mite check until you can do it yourself. Save the bee segments of long Shamba Shape Up episodes on keys 1–9.
Frequently asked questions
Do these lessons work for African and tropical bees?
Partly. The Arkansas and Guelph videos teach general bee biology and hive care for temperate climates. African honey bees can be more defensive and often abscond, so the Bees for Development, ILRI and Shamba Shape Up videos on local and top-bar hives fit tropical beekeeping better.
Do I need permission to keep bees or sell honey?
Often. Many places require hive registration, set rules on where hives can stand, and have food rules for labelling and selling honey. Treatments for mites and diseases are also regulated. Check with your local agriculture office or beekeepers association first.
Is this legal, tax or financial advice?
No. These videos are educational and come from the channels that published them. They are not legal, tax or financial advice for your business. Use them to learn, then join a local beekeepers group and check local rules before you invest.
